Tecate 85

Hi guy
Soeone call me 5 minue ago to sell me a 85 tecate,new holeshot tires,new chain and sprocket,NEW cylinder,piston ring NEW OEM crank,new rotor....so engine is completly rebuilt,but the CDI unit is bad.......
My question.....someone have a cheap CDI unit for sale? or.....someone need a new engine?If yes I will install tires on my 500x and sell all other parts....

So they are saying it needs a CDI because it has no spark? My guess is stator problems. Seems like they all need a stator. I had to fix mine and so did my brother. Do a search on ebay and you can find just the ignitoin stator winding for $39 then you just solder it in. Thats what we both did. I went ahead and got the Ricky Stator Flyweel as well since the flywheels can be problems too. My brothers magnents have been re-glued by someone. The Ricky stator flywheel has intergral magnets.
