title explains it. i have a bad coil wire on my 84 200x and i got a solid coil wire from the local saw shop and it still craps out at high RPMs just like it did before. any help? thanks

could be your jetting perhaps? could you describe your issues?

no. i know that it is my coil wire. i swaped one off one of the other trikes and it runs great.

I can't speak for the 200X but both of my ATCs use a regular copper core plug wire.

wait maybe its not. it is copper but its not solid....... are they suppose to be solid copper core wires?

What did you swap off the other machine? Just the wire or the whole coil/wire assy? Have you tried another coil, spark plug, or cap?

i just swapped the coil wire. i know that is what it is, im just having trouble finding the right kind of coil wire to put back on it.

Just go to an ATV/snowmachine dealer and ask for some spark plug wire, they should have the right stuff.
