honda 1980 185s need help please!!

wont start
rebuilt carb new cdi still wont start the guy i got it from said it was running fine and then just quit. i need help fast i am trying to get running for sons christmas and dont have enough money to take it to shop please help

Is the carb getting fuel and do you have spark?

Check Your Pilot Screw,tighten All The Way,then Loosen 2 Complete Turns.

Does it have compression? Have you tried to manualy choke the carb while turning it over? By that i mean put your hand over the intake of the carb creating a seal then turn it over, it should suck gas up and your hand should get wet. then remove your hand and turn it over, repeat if nessary. Check compression if it doesnt start.
