Oh, I see where this is going! LOL How come there is no writing on the engine cases? No bombardier or no rotax? Those mugen Rs' were the king of the production roost in their day. Even though the aftermarket was just starting to hit its' stride, but that is a whole nother story. Great trike. And don't just tease with one rotax engine! Post 'em up. Notice edog is even speechless! LOL

I have the original Mitchells too. Just too lazy to change the tires. Also when the bearings go I'll put on the +4. Also I got a lead on a chrome moly frame.

A first gen chromoly frame! Now we're talking here. Is it a Nicholson or is it custom built? A chromoly frame would make me want an early air cooled R.

I always wonder why people have utility rear tires on a performance 3-wheeler. And I only see this on 3-wheelers, never on 4-wheelers? I've never seen a set of 22 inch wooly boogers on a 400EX or 450R but they are on air cooled R's, 350X's, etc all the time.

Most of the time it's because that's the tire size these bikes called for from the factory.

I'm in the process of getting new rims and tires for mine and will be moving down to 20's and moving the rims up to 9's.

I agree with that but that doesn't mean put a tractor tire on it. LMAO.
When I bought my 84 R it had brand new Shredders on it. Which are a holeshot knock off. They were 22s which is the factory size. I put 18s on it. Yes the 22 inch Shredders are too big for my liking but they are the factory size for the bike but at least they were a sport tire.
I don't see the connection between 22's being the factory size and putting a utility tire on it.

Well I know that on my trike they are on there cause the kid who owned the trike really didn't know better, used her in very rough conditions, deep mud, deep snow and tried to go where his friends were going on Big Red's.

I'm gonna guess too that alot of the time people go to get new tires and ask 'what the cheapest 22x11x8 you have?' - ya know?

Well if that's the reason I guess it happens an awful lot. lol. I felt pretty lucky that my 350x and Tecate both had brand new 20s on back based on what seems to be the norm for rear trike tires. My liquid cooled R is still on original tires which are 20s.

10-4, she used to be Todds. Don't worry, it's in good hands now. Got a nice spot in the shed with the rest of the group (I'm hoping they start to multiply). It is REAL nice, almost too nice to ride. But I can't just look at the thing, I gotta ride it. It is real fast, I don't think it's quite as fast a my 250 Tecate, but I'm not positive yet. I've got a lead on an MX track in Maine that is supposedly going to let us race so hopefullly she'll get some track time.

When I'm done with my Tiger 250 ice racer I'll post up some pics as long as the post doesn't get deleted like Edogs Mugen post did. How did that happen?

I sold my complete Bills pipe last year to a guy in PA.I have a Answer silencer with an unknown aftermarket headpipe. The headpipe is brand new.I never did find out what it was??? Aftermarket pipes do appear on ebay every so often.

I gotta stop coming back to this page.I dont have the time right now to work on my 81 250r.But want to everytime I see your Mugen.Great bike!!!!
