View Full Version : Proper OIL for ATC185s?

Hi guys. Bought an 82 ATC185-P-O-S the other day. Runs and drives great but needs a bit of care. This makes 3wheeler #3.

Whats the recommended Oil for these? I run YamaLube 20w40 in most of my machines, but what exactly did Honda recommend way back in 1982 for these? Specs page reads 1.43 Qt for Oil Capacity but no mention of proper weight and viscosity motorcycle oil.

Can't go wrong with Honda GN4 10W-40.

Great. Thank you very much. I think I've got 2 quarts of YamaLube 10w40 somewhere around my shop. The oil in this poor thing nasty (but atleast its level so thats a good sign).
