 Why does my 85 250r run like crapola with the recomended br9/8es??
It has an autolite 404 in it now(what was in it when i bought it). With the br... it studders befor the best part of the power band and the plug has a funny yellow color. The 404 however looks carrhart.

WTF??

I really dont know much about the motor except that it has "Chuck.E" engraved on the jug and i believe the porting is for the top end..

Thanks!!

ive got the service manual here.

red yellow and white coatings on the spark plug are caused by fuel and oil additives. could also be the gap is not set correctly. what oil do you put in the fuel. there are some other things that refer to clogged air filter to clogged carby.

I am running Belray MC-1 with 110 at 32:1. Everything is good as far as carb, filter, exaust. No air leaks or any other sort of leaks. I will give the 5 a try.
