I have seen the R-1 blasters and R-1 rhinos on youtube. so has anyone ever put a R-1 engine in a trike frame? i think it can be done i just dont know what frame to use? 250r 85-86 model or 350x? i think it can be done and after i finish building my 350r that im working on now i think im going to start looking into building one. so let me know your thoughts and what challenges i might face. i know i will have to modify the frame seriously but that does not worry me. if i cant fab it. it cant be made. and if you donate 100.00 dollars or more to the project you can ride it when im done

the question is why? Are serious about drag racing? Its a waste of an engine IMO...

If you have the parts and ability, build it. Though I think you'd be better off using a Z frame. Seems like it would require less modding because of more engine space in the cradle. Also, then it would be all Yamaha.

Well Smurfancoke on here has a trike built from a honda 550 supersport, it really is a tool, but hard going for trails, mudplugging etc..... sounds f***in' awesome, and it rips in a straight line :p

There was a Yamaha 200 trike on trademe that had a Suzuki 1100cc engine in it a while back I posted it on here. It would be ridiculously fast considering it was a hard tail.
