the 86 swing-arm have some reinforcment parts on it...near where the shock link bolt on it...and i think, but i'm not sure...the bearing are different..someone else here on the board can confirm that!!

85 swingers run a larger diameter pivot bearing, bushings and seals.Fit that year only...
The 86 swinger runs smaller diameter stuff, and uses the same pivot bearings as banshee and blaster. You can use a banshee pivot bolt in either year of the tri-z.
other than that, and the added gussets on the 86,they are identical.

So a 85 will bolt up to my 86? I just need to order bearing and seals for an 85?

Yes!
You will need 2 bearings, 2 inner seals and 2 inner bushings.Expensive from the dealer...

Better yet,Just contact (X system) here on the site.He makes nylon pieces that replace all the factory garbage, and will save you money.
