i went to look at a klt110 and a 200x in the paper shop for 300 for the pair of them. nedless to say the klt was actualy a 200 and i had no intrest in it and the 200x was locked tight and no intrest inthat either but as i was talkgin to the guy he mentioned somethign his brother had. needless to say his brother lived abotu a mile away and i came hoem with these gemsfor 200 dollarsfor the pair!!!!

turns out the 250 has a warped head and was leakign coolant into the cylinder but does start and run but the 500 is stillon standard bore but the rings were stuck to cylinder walla nd already torn down but i am still gonna split cases to see how the rest of the motor is

Now that was a good find and a sweet deal. I know someone is gonna say they are quads but wow. Too bad on the trikes tho.

I guess it can slide for now. lol. No man you done good. Did you feel like you were stealing them for that price. Geez there was a 250 here for $2000 and look like crap, and a nice 250 for $3000, wish I could get them for a deal like that.

Oh man, that rocks! I've spent the last few months rebuilding a friends quadzilla, now all my other engines seem so small. I really want to get a lt500r someday. :w00t:

OMG, dude that is insane! I'm not a huge Suzuki fan but I would own them both. I would have jumped on those in a heart beat! Awesome!

both are complete minus front brake calipers and a hood for the lt250. but the 500is complete just minor minor surface rust on the crank the kind that almost wipes off with a rag and soem wd40. just an insane deal almost surreal.

wow, i would love to find a deal like that, although i would sell the quadzilla personally because i would kill myself on it, but im sure youll enjoy it haha, just hang on tightt

hey man i think i am gonan kill myself on the 250 q/r i cant stand twist throttles but its fine on the kx500 but not on a quad.

You had better luck than I did, by far. Must've been QuadRacer week or something.

I got a line on an excellent '88 250 Q'Racer that only needed tires and a coil/or stator. Drove 20 miles to find that I missed it by two days and that it changed hands for $150!

Wasn't what I set out hunting that day, but I would've took it to make a healhty profit.

the 1987 had the most powerfull engine, but had a weaker front arm mounting design. the 1987 has different wider gear ratio's then the 88-90 models.

the 87 model also had one less head bolt, witch caused them to blow head gaskets very easely.
ive owned a 500 for a while but i had an 89.
i remember i had a worked cilinder with it, i never tried it but some guys i know said that barrel would crank it up to 80HP.

for you first ride try a nice big field, cause that thing is gonna surprise you.
ooh and wear some good boots when you try to start that badboy.

good shoes save a lot of skin when it kicks back.

oh this aint my first rodeo i actualy owned orange shees lt500 way back when and i have a kx500 also so i am nto a stranger to the big bores
