View Full Version : Are ATC key switches interchangable???

I have a 200ES that I have tried to get back going and its either the key switch is causing a ground or the CDI is out. I am going to try the key switch first since its a cheaper fix.

key switches won;t cause that. it's probebly a cdi or maybe even the coil.

When I tested the switch and it would not break the ground between the black and green wire when I switched it to the "on" position. I've had a problem with it not grounding out when I turn the key off and it would run all day like this. I got it from a friend of mine and it ran fine for the 2 years he had it, but it would not cut off at the key. I was hoping that this was my problem. Now it runs and idles for about 20 to 30 seconds and dies. Thanks for the reply.
