I just ordered a ITP 22x8x12 front duel ribbed sand tire. Has anyone ran this before and what do you think. Right now the front end pushes alot in the trails (in the dunes) even if I gas it cause the rear tires track in the routs.

Im not sure what brand it is but i got a sand tire on the front of my trike and it definitly grips better than the stock POS tire i used to have on there

I ran a smoothy on my X for a weekend. Didnt do much for me. Front end still pushed forward in the turns. The stock tire aired down works just as well as a mohawk or smoothy, and saves you quite a bit of money IMO. Its a mix of opinions though. Some feel they make a difference, others dont.

i beg to differ when i went from a stock tire to mohawk on the front of my 250R it was like night and day. there was no more tracking issues what so ever

with haulers on a 350x i can see pushing issues with any tire,,, wanna kick butt in the turns??? get a set of sand stars!!! they are the best 4 stroke tire i have ever used,,,,

ive tried the sandstars - switched to gliders for a while. Neither one was suitable for me. The dunes over here in MI are quite different than out west, which you have to consider. Im sure other guys run different paddle setups on their 350s which work better for them, but you cant really say "this paddle tire is better than another"

You don't need one in the dry sand, that's when I ride.
