I saw a tractor the other day with duals on it, which is pretty common. However, this one had smaller diameter outside tires, which would only come into play in muddy conditions, but not while on firm ground.
Has anyone ever seen this done on a trike or quad? I'd think it'd really increase traction without affecting steering or stressing the drivetrain in turns. When you did sink in a few inches, the other tires would start making traction and flotation.
I'd think a 21x8-9 or something similar would work ok. You might get laughed at, but maybe only before the first mudhole...
