This is my first post of my atc 90.yesterday all I had was a bandito frame, high output stator ,after market suspension fork and a few small parts. After hanging out with Blue27 and Vealmonkey.I know have a big bore motor fenders and seat and most everything I need to build it up.I'm planning on cleaning it all up and painting it after all the mechanicals are dealt with.Heres the pics so far from last night at Blue27's shop.

Open up a free photobucket account, upload the photos, photobucket will generate a <img> tag, cut and paste that shortcut into your message and voila...simplest and easiest way to do it, PLUS it backs up your photos! :D

Aluminum Framed Stroker90? Nicholson Framed Stroker90? High Performance ATC framed RD350? 200x engine and parts??? I was looking at a Polaris on Craigslist!!! LOL

Edog, I got him everything but the forks and the frame, don't have him bleed the rest of the parts out of me! Where is the start of your flat track 90 anyways??? Do I have to sell you a frame and all the stuff for the stroker big bore kit? Then that means I'll have finish my little big bore puddle jumper. I might have to hit the west coast up for more parts! I still have a 110 on an aftermarket bandito frame that is pretty much ready for some loving home. Zilla, where are you? LOL Edog, my house pretty much contains all rare stuff but nobody cares since it's mostly 90/110. Unless you count the suspension 185s, the suspensions 175s and the suspension 70s. Oh and now the 2 Tigers.

Long time since the last post.Work has been slow on the trike.Awhile back I mounted the supertrapp put on some temporary handlebars and a few minor things. Also mounted a pit bike carb on it to temporarily get it running.I'm still looking to get a bigger carb for it.Also heres a pic of a tc high output lighting coil that may go on it.These are cell pics so the quality is not there.LoL

you may be able to take the intake from a 185/200s and have the front cut off and the rubber removed, then have it welded onto the intake you have. that woudl allow you to run a 185/200s carb that's a lot bigger but still has a ton of oem and performacne for them including tons of jetting options.

both carbs bolt right up to a 110 intake (and im sure a 90 intake) but you need to match the openings.

im running a 200x carb this way.

l if you want i'll dig my 110 out of the shed and if you bring your 90 to my place we can throw my 24mm on it....let me know

I'll have to talk to bruce and we can bring it over.I also talked to powroll and they told me they used to put on 24mm mikuni zinc plated flange mount carbs on the 90's they built.

Progress, It runs and moves!!!!! Had a bunch of members over today and we thrashed on Bandito's 90 and have it running and moving. Louis brought up the 500R and removed some off my grass in the back yard and also took out the Mini Tiger and showed us he is an expert with the "grabbar sod remover"

I was up at Bruces' for SodFest09. Lou did manage to take some soil and grass samples back to Westminster. I did also manage to see one of Lous' more classic dismounts. I rated it an 8.5 for style. LOL I did get to spend some time checking out Lous' 500 and it is pretty cool. I got to see the
POS 60 pretty much maxxed out coming down the road which is a far cry from where it was last time I made it up. Also, with a change of seats and another master link, and some wrenching, I got to see Timmys 90 start and move. I think the more Timmy runs it, the better it will get, but I do think it needs a good tune up. I'm sure the fact that it is running and moving will help motivate Tim some more to keep progressing. The bandito does need a little more help in the cosmetics department, but it is definitely progressing. Nice job Tim. Keep up the good work. Also than you Jason for the wheels and thank you Alysa for getting the bead breaker and the master link and the food. Wayne, You missed it man. I heard you were working on the Bronco and selling a door, but, you missed it. Thanks to Brian for being my copilot today and providing great stories and humor and Thanks to Lou for bringing up the 500 and the yt goodies you could find. Yamaha-Fest at my house soon or the invasion of the Pro Tec Trikes at Bruces' soon. LOL And I"m posting this from work.

A small update.I Awhile back I bought a cheap Chinese Mikuni.I finally bought a twist throttle cheap with an adjustable cable.i now have it running even better and without bogging thanks to the world class help section. As I'm not the carb tuning master. Now I'm gonna try to lower the forks a bit.As This thing has a really bad rake and the chopper handling and shoddy brakes were the cause of a few less flowers in my yard,Still have some parts from Jason85atc250r to put on.

I don't know if it's my Tiger or not anymore. I think Bruce has claimed it since it has been in his garage so long. I need to get that new engine so we can get a new set of engine mounts made to make the craziest suspension 70 on the east coast!

bandito90
06-01-2009, 01:00 AM
We need to look at them to see if we can have a few more sets of cases made.

I finally had a chance to go to PA and see Blue27 and Bandito 90 and visit with everyone. Tore down an engine and found some not happy things, like missing parts! I got to have lunch with Bruce and Alysa which is always a great time. Timmy also brought over the bandito 90 project and we got to work on that some. He has a new set of All Balls steering bearings and we swapped out his tires for some old school armstrong racing tires on the rear and an atc70 tire in the front. He needs a rear sprocket change now, but the trike seemed way more fun. I have a couple pictures to post up of it. Hope you like them, I know we all did.

Being bored tonight and having a manual and gasket kit.I decided while adjusting the valves and doing the timing to actually see if I have a stroker?Well guess what I found?A nice bulge in the rod!I'm still having trouble measuring it.But got a few specs on the motor. The cylinder is measuring 50.17mm.But appears to have a stock cast piston. Also the cam has no name but has a number3 on it?The piston pin is measuring 13.94mm and has a larger diameter on the ends. Also the rod has 862 on it.

Forgive the bad lighting and cell pics.

Defiantly not a stock crank:naughty: . Wrist pin is correct at 14mm for a atc90 and a 110 is 15mm as I have had 90s with the 15mm also . I have a new cam just like yours with the # 3 on it too but have no clue who makes it but I believe its a stage 1 cam for low end midrange power . If you need parts for the motor or want to go more radical with the cam let me know . :D

Got any pics of the piston ? Want to see if the piston skirt is cut to fit a stroker crank .

bandito90
09-06-2009, 10:32 AM
I don't think the piston is cut. It;s pretty much a 0.50 over stock piston.Actually the rod doesn't come that far out of the case.I measured the rod from where it is when fully in the case to fully in the case to fully extended. It is a rough measurement of about 54mm.The rod looks like the one on a few Powroll cranks I've seen? Also the combustion chamber is very smooth on the head.

shortline10
09-06-2009, 11:34 AM
With what you have now is at a 50mm bore and a 54mm stroke would make it a 106 cc motor .

bandito90
09-06-2009, 12:06 PM
For a 106 it runs good. It's faster than any 110 I've ridden.I'd actually like to go up in piston size and compression.

shortline10
09-06-2009, 01:53 PM
Stock atc90 bore is 50mm and stroke is 45.6mm so you need to figure out what stroke you have . Would probably be easier to reassemble the piston and cylinder and mark the TDC and BDC and measure that with the mic and that way should be pretty accurate . I have a couple 54 and 55mm atc90 pop up pistons NOS if you want to go that route . Did you take a look at the head to see if its been ported ?

bandito90
09-07-2009, 01:18 PM
The head seems to be really domed in the combustion chamber. Also it is smooth.I think it had some work done. But the ports don't look like they have been opened up.

It's been a long time since any updates. Blue27 came by today and we got the 90 running.I had the motor apart to do the gearbox delete, manual clutch and have new valves put in the head. The frame was powder coated and 18" tire have been added.
It's crunch time for Trikefest and tomorrow we'll spend some time tuning and hopefully painting the purple fender. So far the bike seems to run pretty good.
