Will some one educate me on the reason the exhausts look/sound so different? Are there different exhausts to make a 2-stroke quiter? never had a 2-stroke but I'm thinking about it.

this is because on a 2 stroke, the head pipe is called an expansion chamber, they are an intricate part of the combustion cycle. the chamber allows the correct pressure to broaden and control the powerband, which would without the pipe would be extremely narrow.

i'm no expert on this though so im sure a member will give you a better answer

dont think too long, your waisting precious time,2 stroke are the best, dont tip like the others,i have a few bikes and my fav is the 250r...theres no comparison, but if you like putting around they just aint good for that, much better handleing at higher speeds, slide around every corner if youd like,...ken

Lets not forget, 2 strokes are so much cheaper to repair.
