I got new piston and rings in the 200s. Lost spark but getting the parts pretty quick. Problem is it has been sitting for for maybe 3 months. It had lost spark prior to the piston/rings change. I did oil the cylinder and cam but because it has been sitting for so long I am now afraid that if I start trying to crank it over I may score the cylinder because oil will have surely ran off the side of the cylinder by now. Any way I can relube the cylinder without tearing the motor apart again?
thanks

i would have thought that it would be fine to crank over as it is, there'll still be an amount of oil on the cylinder wall, no worse than if it hadn't been started for a while anyway. If you REALLY want peace of mind, you could maybe put a few drops of motor oil down the plug hole first, sure it'll smoke a little at first but it'll soon burn off :D

Yeah, just pour some oil in the plug hole and crank it over by hand a few times.
