I want to put 1 or 2 LED fog lights on the front of my trike instead of a head light. No battery on the trike power on when motors running. want to run the headlight wire to a switch than to the lights. will this mess up my trike at all or even work??????

I have an 86 250sx and my headlight used to smoke and *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited*, and my ignition came apart, and switches were bad so i rewired that whole area. I now have a kill switch, and a headlight switch and a headlight off a 1980 XL250s dirtbike and no battery. It isnt really bright but its way better than the nothing i had before. I dont remember exactly wat i did but I think i ran it to the black accessory wire going to the ignition switch. I dont remember exactly but i gutted mine so itd be a bit different.

It depends on the lighting coil wattage and the bulbs you are running. What kinda trike are we talking about?

Those LED lights usually pull a strong voltage. I think it will work but them running without a battery they may be dim. Check the voltage required by the LED lights, i'm thinking it will be 12v. I forget wether the YTM runs off of a 6 or 12v system.

if worse comes to worse tie in a batery as a booster for the lighting system and use the power from the stator to help recharge the batery. find a smallbetery of fliek a early 90's suzuki dr50s verry small 12 volt batery.
