Basically, although we ALL want 87's :D the 200X didn't change much. That year got white shrouds, diff decals (which ROCK!!), a key switch (mostly all gone - where the F did they go??) and brake caliper mount changes. The engine changes were few, but 3rd gear was the worst of them because it got thinner and every one I obtain is broke. The 3mm larger kicker shaft is the best feature!

We all wanted the white shrouds but Brad has them for us now so we don't have to suffer with the old stuff

I know the guy you got that from. His Name is Taz. If thats the same bike...it has a 400ex front mastr cylinder, everything new with the swingarm pivot, 83 atc250r rear axle, he put a 350x headlight on it and he had the same tires. I do remember him saying that he had to replace the axle bearings and when I last saw him he was looking for a different front rim/wheel(his was pretty bald and spider cracking). There is a few bad thngs..if thats the bike, a mess of jb weld holding the header to the head, axle bearing seamed worn and it leaks oil from somewhere in the engine. That bike also has a grab bar from a 85/86 atc250r(also alittle bent), I was cleaning our grab in the garage and gave it to him. Also it has a 83 front caliper. I helped him with that bike, that swingarm bolt really was a hard one to get out. Had to spread the frame, cut the bolt and NOT hit the engine cases. At the same time, I replaced the axle with something alittle wider. We are taling about the same bike....right. He asked me If I wanted it, I think he said $500 at the time. I told him no, it would take too much work to bring it up to mx duty(that was when the swingarm stuff was shot, no front brake, sticking rear, bent stock width axle and bald tires). He didn't like the bike because, he said it didn't have enough power, he wanted a 350x. Good score on it, could be a nice base for future mods.
