I finally found a first gen R, after looking for a long time.
It was rebuilt about 10 hours ago, newer maier plastic and rips pretty good. Picked it up for $450.
I've got a couple questions: What do you guys do specifically for oil (brand/mix)? Also, right now it's got stupid Wolly Boggers on the rear, what would be a good general use tire for a first gen like this?
Thanks in advance.

When I bought my 1984 250R it had brand new 22" Shredders on back, they are a little big for my liking and I had some new 18" turf tamers on a set of 84 250R wheels so I put those on it and I like them a lot.

What kinda shape is your seat and seatpan in?

The seat's not the greatest, and the pan is doing that stupid thing (warped or whatever) where it's leaving a gap between the seat and tank.

On another subject, where the heck should the id tag be? I'm sure I'm being blind and stupid, so I thought I'd ask.

i use blendsall in mine and i got 22x10 carlise "bogger" type tires with a 3 inch extended swinger and it works good except for the fact my rear axle and carrier bearings need replaced and the tirs rub my factory exhaust.

Love to see pics of the trike with a +3 swinger! I wanna extend mine 3 or 4 inches!

Hows it handle with the +3?
