1981 honda 185s wont start

i have rebuilt carb it is getting gas because the plug got wet it has compression it has spark whats wrong with it, we pulled it behind a car for an hour and still could not get it to start any ideas. and i checked the timing and every other turn it lines up that is if i had the correct information on timing. help me thanks guys:beer

Did it run before you rebuilt the carb? Did you check the kill switch?

did not run when i got it but the guy i got it from said it was running and then just quit. im not for sure how to check the kill switch but i know in the on position i have spark

Have you replaced the plug? The CDI module was only working part-time on my 200x. I bought a used one off e-bay and after that it ran fine.

has new plug thinking a new cdi might help or a working cdi anyway it has spark but mabee not enough huh?

too much fuel? (carb way out of adjustment and needle on the wrong clip?)
timing sould be on every time it's at TDC not every other time.
check the timing chain tenesion?

could anyone tell me exactly how to check timing because mabee i am looking at the wrong marks or somthing
