Reposting some questions due to the board problems overnight (original was lost)

Honda 85 200x with 84 200s motor

1) broke the chain the other day, going to order a new one but not sure if these use standard or o-ring chains?

2) Had some idle problems but may have been confused on choke operation, has the 200x carb on it and my dirt bike to turn choke on you moved the lever down, according to my manual you turn the lever up on this to turn choke "on". Which position up or down is "on"/"off"

runs semi-well with lever down but dies out with lever up. Thinking I should switch to a carb for a 200s as it seems to run a little rich as well when warmed up (as well as needing a rebuild)

any ideas are appreciated

I believe my 200x carb was up to choke. If you look closely it says choke on it with a little arrow pointing up.

If it's not running correctly you could try switching the carbs. The only thing is that the 200x carb is bigger (2 mm). You may just want to look into getting a couple jets to lean it out, or maybe just a needle change will be enough. If you don't want to mess with it then just switch carbs.

O-ring chains will last a long time...longer than any non-O-ring chain. I don't know what kind yours uses but I would think that a O-ring and a regular chain are the same size :? :?:

As for your choke, when its "on" it will idle at a much higher RPM so you should be able to recognize when its on or off.

On my Foreman, I can't move the lever past 4/5 of the way or it will start spitting and sputtering too. So I just leave it and she warms up very quickly (also thanks to electric carb heater)

Looks like servicehonda has new carbs for $112 so I may just buy a new one.

Didn't think you could interchange on the chains ie: no o-ring chains if it came with a non-o-ring chain and vice versa...???

Just change the jets and stuf in your carb only cost you maybe 30 bucks for everything. Here's a pic of my auto x
