I was looking for a trike for parts to rebuild my '86 tecate 3 that I crashed a couple of months ago.
But I didn't find something untill I bounced on this one.
It has been standing in a barn for about 5 years because the magnets got of the flywheel.
For the rest this bike is very clean, just some dust and little rusty:

So the plan is now putting my new RS ignition of my wrecked bike on this one.
I also have brand new fenders, that i'm going to install on this bike, and use these fenders to repair my wrecked bike later.

it wasn't covered up when I picked it up, so I don't know how if it was before.
It had some bird *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* on it, so I don't think it was covered up ;).
I'm going to try to rebuild it as close to NOS state as possible.

I've noticed that the 86-87 Tecate's are the most popular or only trikes around in the Netherlands/Belgium area? Is that the case or does it just seem so? I visit Eindhoven pretty often and have seen a few in the classifieds there.

yeah thats true. Becase in '87 lots of trikes were bought buy a couple of dealers in Belgium and the Netherlands when they were banned from the states. Thats why you can find the '86/'87 T3's here better then other trikes.
But I'm a collector and am trying to collect all watercooled trikes and quads from the 80's. I now have from the trikes 2 '86 T3's, one '85 T3, an '85 Tri-Z and an '86 Tri-Z. Soon I'm going to buy an ATC250r
