ok so i started to tear down my 200k to rebuild it over the winter and after i pulled the motor out i decide to take a break and go on craigslist then i noticed that there is alot blaster motors on my c.l for around 200-300 bucks so i got to thinking if i could be able to put a blaster motor in my frame.and if so how hard would it be i took a quick look at a blaster for sale and it seems that it should fit i mean that the pipe comes out on the right side and the motor are about the same size..any ideas or what ever let me know

It's been done before I think. It would be a sweet deal, a ytm with a manual clutch. Still don't have rear susp. though. I know and IT490 2 stroke will fit an a blaster frame....Same mounts and all. That's a cool project!

I would have to think so. If anything the blaster motor should be smaller in the gear case due to the manual tranny. I don't know how tall it is in comparison though.

I have 2 near complete Blaster motors in pieces. All cleaned spotless.... Was looking to get 100$ for all of it, you will need a cylinder but that should be it....

im thinkin you might have trouble with the exaust outlet and the down tube on the frame, and expansion chamber fitment. you will probably need a custom pipe, but other than that though the blaster motor is fairly compact, easy to work on, got decent stock power, and a huge market of motor hop ups. throw in a 240, a decnt pipe, 34mm flatside, and some porting and you should be able to spank banshees and 400ex's. trenga racing was a great place for this, but i dont know if their around anymore.

ok sooo while waiting to find a blaster motor i fig i would put a new top end on the stock engine..just wondering if anybody had any input on wheater to put stock or bored over pistons in it??

Just bore it out until the cylinder cleans up. Get a Wiseco piston I think they go 10:1 compression. That will give you a bump in power too.

hey I'm getting a rolling blaster with out the motor this week and would to stuff a YZ 490 into it for mudding and climbing some hills. has anyone rode one or know of anyone with some parts like a YZ 490 motor, exhaust, carb, air box.?? I built my dream bike it was a 400ex frame with a XR-650L motor stuffed into it. I called it my ( TRX650EX KONG ) so I don't think this will be bad as I did that one for around $800.00 and it was going good until I rode a raptor 660. let me know if you can help. charliekat@oh.rr.com

my 98 grizzly 4x4 lost spark and need some help with that like a manual, stator, coil, cdi box ,??

Thanks Chas
