well, on my bike, i cleaned the new plastics and got all that dusty "browning" off of it that doesnt wash off in water.
well, after cleaning it, i waxed them to help make cleaning it easier, but now the plastics have lost their shiny-glossy finish, and are really dull.
any way to restore that shine? they are new plastics, so its not an age thing.

Future floor wax will bring it back for a while. There is a liquid teflon tire shine that I have use on the Fender flares of my Jeep that works well for the flares. I plan on trying it for the ATV fenders when I get a chance to go over to Autozone.

white is the easyest color to keep clean....the shine goes with all colors but black is the worse.
here is my 10-15 year old white fenders after a simple wisk bath (ajax is the best to get the grimy scratches clean)

Soft scrub with bleech works really well on white fenders but never tried it on any other color.. Orange blast works good on fenders too...

my plastics were horribly stained from all the tiny scratches. I sanded from 220 grit all the way up to 2500 then hit it with a buffing compound. Youll never get the origional shine back but they look good enough for me.
