ok i got the frame preped and painted for re-install. this will start to be done after my 200e is running.

it's a long rough road for the 185s i tell ya now..

i have the new seat cover, and i had to work ont he pan i got. the seller assured me it was in good shape, but once i took it appart, i leanred the pan was in nearly unuseable shape. i ised a wirewheel brish, soaped it in parts cleaner, used anti-rust on it to kill any remaining rust, then started the long process of metal prep. rust primer, primer, then finally painted, but she looks good!

put the foam back on as it was in excellent shape, and am working on installing the new cover, but i need to get some epoxy for it, as the metal hold tabs are all pretty much useless as the metal is so thin from rust, that they won't hold the cover. I'm looking at either liquid nails in small dabs to start, and later do a good bead, or maybe the old "gorella snot" (who knows what that stuff is? ;) )

sweet! got any plans for the motor, I would bore it to a 200,use a 10.25 piston, use a 200x carb,200x cam, good exhaust, uni filter. Thats what im planning for mine after my bronco is done.

Looks like you have some decent fenders!

you can also use 200x hubs for the rear to open up rim options

instead of boring it, i used a 200 jug and did a hone job on it, then have a wesco 200 stocker for it. getting a cnc head done up for it. i was thinking of the 200x cam yea, but the carb is the same size, so i was just going to jet it according to the tuning needs. (got 3 carbs and only need to have 1 running fr it) one thing i alwyas do is buy plenty of spare parts as you never know when you need something. ;)

yea the fenders re in good shape. 2 sets actaully, the originoally didn't crack much, but were starting to have stress cracks, so i got a good set. the origionals can be fixed if someone wants them for cheap. not sure the cost on shipping fenders, but i'm sure we can work something out.

200x rear eh? hrmm, yea thought of that too, but this is going to be a mostly stocker restore. it's for the wifey to ride, s that's why it's being tamed down a bit. i'm also going to add the 200E/S reay storage box and rear rack so she ahs a palce to store stuff on the rides. Later i'm goign to make custom brackets to hold beltable kid seats so the kids can sit in the middle of the rack in the back and ride w/o any issues while we cruze. with the kids, we won;t be going fast jsut having some light fun along beaches, or trails.

sounds good, cant wait for the rest and pics. I think the 200x carb is 2mm bigger but for a mild build like that you are better off sticking with what you have,

yeah the 200x rear hubs are 4/110 bolt pattern and that is way more common than the 4/130 thats on there. If you have a good set of 4/130 you might just want to stick with them.

I wasnt sure what you wanted out of your build but it looks like a restore/reliability build and a really good start at that. goodluck with your seatpan

thanks man! yea the seatpan seems to be ok now. it was a pitta though!!!

i'll keep ya posted. really the biggest thing i'm wanting for her is low end grunt and stability. (more torque by going with the 200 top end and weisco piston (i love weisco) )
