What tires do you guys recommend? I want to use the stock rims but want something with stiffer sidewalls. Is a gear change required for the lower profile tire?

My rear shock is blown out, what do you recommend for a replacement?

Is there any current aftermarket shocks that will work?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks

Hi Leeko, welcome to the board!

I've got 18" Turf Tamer's on stock Z rims on my 85. I've also got a 14 tooth front sprocket. I like the turf tamers but you loose allot of ground clearance under the sprocket & disc. I would recommend a 20" tire with a flat profile.

Fortunately, my Z has a good rear shock. but i've heard a warrior shock is a good replacement. And some banshee shocks as long as they have the reservoir attached by a hose and not mounted directly on the shock body.

Good Luck!
