will trx300 carb bolt on to 250sx

i have been modifying my 86 250sx i bought back in april, i've seen alot of guys put 350x carbs on them but i dont want to do away will the factory choke set up,
i've been looking at some trx300 carbs on ebay and where the throttle hooks up looks almost identical as well as the choke set up, has anyone tried this? does anyone know the bore of the carb on the 300? i have even heard the trx300 has a bigger mm carb than the 350X but have never owned either so any thoughts would be much appreciated

yeas it will work, in my opinion the 250 carb is better because of it being mechanical and not vacuum operated the 250 carb has better throttle responce

Just pop on a 350X carb, remove the airbox lid, add an exhaust and jet that puppy up!! Thats what I did to mine, it is a BOLT ON conversion except for the choke and the jetting changes. The lever has to be ground to clear the fresh air intake boot and or frame boss it mounts to.

I swear I got one of the choke cables to work with either an 85/86 350X carb but I haven't messed with the SX in years.
