QUESTION: ATC250R 1985 brake pad

in the parts manual for the ATC250R 1985...the front and the rear brake pas have different parts number....but on DENNISKIRK, EBAY or other place, they sell the same pad for both, front and rear.

someone know if the front and the rear brake pad are the same?

I don't think they are the same. The rears are longer. I just bought some for mine. You need these, different than front.

The second ones fit front and rear on some bikes but just the front on an ATC250R.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the way I understand it. I have not hands on pulled them out of the front and rear of all these machines but this is what my research leads me to believe.

thanks for the info....ok...i will order it from OEM Honda...they are availaible both front and rear.

OEM pads definitely seem to last and hold up fantastic! Honda and there stupid part numbers are always at it... The 200X pads have about 10 different numbers yet they all fit both front and rear from 83 to 87. Sometimes the difference is just the locking tabs for the bolts or they come with a thin piece of metal for behind the pad.
