I need help making a decision. I ran across a 85 R for 800, comes with 2 sets of tires and nothing wrong with it. is this a good price or should i wait and find a 86 model. is there anything better with a 86 model than the 85? PLEASE HELP

It's not worth waiting for an 86. Other than cosmetic difference and a flat slide and a different chain tightening essectric its the same bike. I myself have an 85 and I prefer the seat on the 85 since it says 250R on it, I like that. And I have switched to a flat slide carb anyway, who wants to run the stocker. The chain isn't a big deal, it's just easier to grip on an 86, wow. My 85 also has the 86 head light on it. I had another 85 250R that I never should have sold and it had the 86 style seat and an 86 swing arm so the chain tightening was different.
Sounds look a good price on the 85 so if it's decent I'd scoop it up. Ya never know by the time you find an 86 it might cost ya $1400, that extra cash will do a lot on your 85 even convert it completely to 86 style if thats your preference.
