To set up cam timing:#1 rotate flywheel until t mark is aligned with slot through peep hole, piston should be at top dead center now.#2 cylinder head and cam should installed, with both valves closed (lobes of the cam facing downward), #3 make sure the cam chain is meshed well with lower sprocket, now get cam chain onto cam sprocket, #4 align 'o' on cam sprocket with 'v' on rocker box cover,#5 make sure piston is at top dead center 'o' and 'v' are lined up, bolt everything up and you should be good..... adjust valve clearance and I believe thats it. This is all from memory but I think I have covered it all. I hope this helps.

Just one "Note" to add: Use the "T" mark for setting up the cam/crank timing. Use the "F" mark when setting your ignition pulse timing with a timing light.

No Prob! Clymer puts out a good manual that covers the 185s, 200s, and 83-85 200x. It's well worth the 20-something bux.
Welcome to the board. It's always good to see new folks coming in.

Welcome to the site. We hope you enjoy it.
It is very very very important to be sure your getting oil to the top end. This can be checked by loosening up the main right rear head nut while the motor is idling. If no oil comes out around the bottom of the nut you got problems and will fry the cam and bearing.
