After going to a little camp out and talking to a few of the guys there we got on the conversation of trikes. (like always) It turns out one guy there had a 200x since it was new if my memory serves me correct. (c'mon alcahol was involved) So we talk for quite a while about how we're into the three wheeler thing and racing and riding and so on. Towards the end of the evening the guy who had the 200x says "would you be interested in the 200x?" I'll be a sum beech, he still has the darn thing. I say " well, we allready have one so it's not really of inportance to me, but........if the price is right I might be interested" He says " how about you come over in a few weeks and pick it up and you can have it" Holy crap!!! FREE. Woohoo. I calmly replied "well if you don't want it I'm sure we can do that"
When really inside I'm freakin' doin' cartwheels. So anywhoo we picked it up today.

Did I mention it's free!

When I got it home I changed the oil and pulled the carb and cleaned it. Put some fresh petrol in her and changed the plug. Put on one riding boot to start her up. (I've learned my lesson that the boot is important) Gave her a few kicks and vavoom she's a runnin'. (free, free, free)Purrs like a kitten after setting in his garage for what he says was about ten years. The bike is all original but is in need of some major cosmetics and bearing and such. Dawn and I are thinking about a full out resto on it.

I just got a truck for free, so I guess I shouldn't mind if someone gets a trike!:lol:

Great deal there!! A few years back I was picking deals like that up all the time. They are few and far from happening anymore. I guess there is just fewer trikes out there.:lol: You only need to find about 33 more and you'll be caught up to Tim.:lol: :lol: :w00t:

Here I have been looking to buy one and you just falls in your lap, not fair! lol Although you told the guy you already have a 200x, which trike is that? I remember that "200x" you have is a bit different. At least now this X has a good home instead of rusting ways in a garage.


If you decided to let it go to another good home keep me in mind.

Look's like a pretty nice machine the way it is.What's your plan's for it ,are you gonna do somewhat of a restro on it ,or just clean it up a little bit and ride it.Nice score though..

Very nice score. Free is always so fun. You'll actually find that becasue you got it for free you get more attached to it and spend money and time making it much nicer. I got a 200X for free in 1998, my first ATC. It didn't run..motor was run out of oil and fried the cam and oil pump. I spent $500 with a retired mechanic rebuilding it with many new internals. Then bought many new cosmetics and got very attached. I had a grand into it when I was done, but I still got it for free!. Here is a pic of her.

Congrats again the new free addition.

nice! I got a 200s engine for free once, along with the tank axle and tires, He was going to make a go kart out of it and choped up the frame!

Nice score wish i could pick up a 200x around me!

Not sure Roger. Maybe a full restore but with Maier Plastics and some other modern stuff like tires. Not sure as of yet. For now it's tucked away beside the 110.

Well since I could'nt go riding today I did the next best thing. Worked on the trikes. Tore down the Freebie and cleaned her up. This will be Dawn's new trail and track bike. I used her old plastics from the Racer-X since it's getting all new. Cleaned a few things up an viola. Here it is.
