Gas leaking in 250r when petcock is on.

There is gas leaking out a hose at the bottom of the frame when petcock is on. Also when I try to let go of the clutch slowly, I have to give it so much gas just to move, and then it just dies. Also it sometimes drips oil out of the ehaust. I have very little knowledge of engines. I just got this 250r and a 185s from this guy who owed me money, so im just getting into powersports. The 185s works perfect, so at least I got that. I just hope I can get the 250r running well. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Take the carb apart and clean it out. Sounds like there's trask in the needle seat or the float is outta wack

Yep float needle is not sitting properly, probably a worn seat. You can get a rebuild for it on e-bay for usually 20-30 bucks...well worth it!
