Hi Folks
I am a new owner of a Yamaha 1981 Tri Moto 175 in the simplest terms. Its kind of a hodge podge of parts - 125 frame, 175 engine, no air intake system, bad wiring, aftermarket accessories, half that don't work.
I just tore it apart yesterday because it died mid-ride on me the other day. I have spark, fuel is fine, but it just seems like there isn't any power getting to the engine. Coil has been tested and is fine which really only leaves the CDI. Anyone have a basic diagram or know of where I can find a cheep relplacement?
I contacted a couple stores and it seems a new one is over $200. Considering I only paid 150 for the entire trike, thats not a good price.
The CDI has 3 wires going in and coming own. I know the jist of what they are but just curious of how to go about testing it.....
Any ideas?
