Hey,

I finally got my 84 250r's swingarm botl out... after 4 (yes, FOUR) cuts with my sawzall..... The outside by the frame and the inside on either side of the motor mount plate...

I already bought an all balls bearing kit for the swinger....

I see in the manual that the bearings go on the outside edge of the swinger...

There are NO bearings in there now.....nothing left at ALL, except maybe a THIN bearing race.

Problem: I cant tell whats part of the swinger and what may be part of the bearing race..... should I just get out my grinder stones and open it up till the bearing fits in?

The person who last had it apart didnt put in the inner or outer collars at all... wow... and the fkn all balls kit did NOT come with them either...jesus... it did for 86200x.

just wonderin how everyone else does it before I do it...

The race should be smooth. If it has any "lip" then that is the outer bearing. You should be able to get it out with a right sized punch or home made puller (guys are using sockets and a long bolt here with success). Mine never came out so I brought it to the shop where they have a special puller. USUALLY (unlike mine) they should come out with a bit of heat on the arm and the socket method! Good luck!

I got the inside "caps"/collars (i guess) off and Im trying to get the outiside collars/cps off...

THe picture I was lookin at was deceiving ...and the wrong year lol... the collars are in there...

How do I get them out?

I tried beating the sh!t outta them, heating it, pb blaster... broke my air hammer in the process........ i even took the sawzall and cut a notch and it wont budge at all.......

I have never done this, but I have heard if you run a bead around it with a welder they will come out easily. I just heated up my swingarm and used a slide puller. Good luck and be patient. (Easier to say than do LOL)
