I've been building a Tri-Z piece by piece for a while now and only have the frame almost complete front end and air box cover. But i now have the oppertunity for a running air-R motor, carb and wiring. either way i'm getting it because its free:D , but is it bossible to put one in the Z? i figured i'de have to make new motor mounts but would that be it? he also has a spare 250R frame so should i just start building a R also? i need some advice. Thanks!

 I sure wouldn't insult a Z with a air-fooler R. Just build an R from scratch, don't ruin a good Yamaha.

yea, i'd rather have a Z AND a R. would it fit though?

One hurdle will be the fact that the air-R motor has the drive sprocket on the right hand side of the motor, and on the Tri-Z, it's on the left.

Why focus on the little things?

well i've decided not to use the R motor in the Z. i just got off the phone with my friend whose giving me the motor, and were gonna work out a price for a frame, swing arm, rear shock, tripple trees, forks, carb and a cupple other parts. best of all he is comming over saturday so i might get it soon:D :Bounce
