OK guys, I am on the home stretch of finishing my ALL NEW 85 1/2 Tri-Z (pics next week) and i am looking for jetting suggestions for my 39pwk. Engine is .020, phase 1 wrench report, LRD pipe and silencer, VF3s, K&N w/ open air box, and of course the 39pwk. I am running 93 at 40:1. about 1200ft elevation. Thanx in advance for the suggestions.

I would say that a 165 main with the clip on the needle set in the middle would be a good place to start. If it was a new 39 pwk it probably came with a 165 main.

Any more suggestions? I started with a 180 cause that is the smallest jet i have. Plug came out lookin' lean. Since the engine is BRAND NEW, I don't want to start doing plug chops yet. any one with some experience with this set-up, recomendations would be great. thanx again.

My 310Z runs a PWK 39 mil with a 48 pilot and a 175 main.

It sounds to me like you would be too rich, but there are so many variances in jetting.

check for an airleak somewhere...i was up to a 230 main at one point and still lean, turns out my intake was leaking just enough to piss me off, now im at a 180

Well, go figure... Started checking things out last night, and sure enough... base gasket leak! Less than 2 hours on this new motor and it already leaked. I saw a bit of oil residue just beneath the left side transfer port. So, i cleaned off the oil, tourqued down the cylinder bolts a touch more and rode it for about an hour. It ran much better, and i didn't notice anymore oil at base gasket after riding. I did order a base gasket from Sprock, and will install it asap just as preventative maintenance. I also got a billet intake and cool head coming from him too!:naughty: I can't wait! thanx for the help fellas.:beer

TRUST ME and Deepa..... Air Leak's and (BAD-"Cheap") Gas and or Compresion lead to 2-cycle Seizer., sand in the Motor also is NOT Good !
178-182 Main,50-52-55-Pilot (1 turn out),CEG Needle-3rd. Clip...OR......
DGK-DGH-DGJ Needle at 3rd Clip........... "pending on "BOG" when STABB'N the Thumb
you will need to adjust the Proper Clip Precision of the Needle to accomodate the Responce of what you NEED for Power at Certain power levels ...
