while doing an inspection today, my constantly wandering junk eye spotted a little yellow trike out of the corner of my eye.... went over its a yamaha tri-moto 175 thats complete! And it runs! the owner pulled it one time and it crakled to life for a min! all the plastic is there just needs a good cleaning, no cracks the original seat, he does have one wheel/tire off he was messing with the brakes. Some cobled up rack and a aftermarket exhuast for it that has never been put on! He said make him an offer I said $100 so is it worth it?

Damn skippy it is! You will have fun, jump on it. Almost too fast for a hardtail. I want pictures of you sliding that one sideways!!! Let me know about that aftermarket exhaust if you don't want it, first dibs I'm calling. LOL

If you do not want it I do. Pick it up and Melissa will shot you the money. If nothing else I need that pipe for my 175 project.

Lots of junkers seem to go for 100$, must be a magic number. I'd buy it for 100 bucks. The 175 was a little rocket in it's own right and the rear engine placement made them awesome wheelie machines! :D

Nice find.
I had an 83 175 growing up. Not the best engineered machine imho but I still want to find one myself someday.
Good luck with that restoration, I know you will do it up right! Hell ya its worth it!!

Never been a Yamaha man myself either until I snagged this for $300 last week. (I know I already posted it but I'm still so proud of it!) I'd probably have walked away from it a couple weeks ago, but now that I have one, I'd jump on that one! I assume with that big pipe it's a 2-stroke, right?

I think the best Yamaha trike ever made was the 225.

I do not like the looks of the 125's and 175's but for $100 bucks I would snag it up. I am not sure what pipe that is but its probably worth that $100 alone?
I also like the 225's the best out of what Yamaha has made.

Have a 225DX i am slowly returning to its former self now, just seems a bit more complicated with the shaft drive and all compared to my R and X's
