would an 87 200x killswitch work on a 86 200x

Yes it should work fine, the difference I found in the 87 main wiring harness was the plug for the voltage regulator....

There is basically nothing physically different. The switch might have a different face embossing to the switches or color to it but it is otherwise just like the 86 switch.

ok i have an 85 switch and it dose not work at all

I thought 87 had a key switch too? Would that change the wiring of the kill switch unit????
