"one on the right" as in right side when you are standing behind it looking at the axle?
if so, that one NEEDs to come off to get axle out
pull the wheel off the hub, check the castle nut hole to be sure a broken cotter pin ain`t still stuck in the hole in the axle
if not, grind one flat on the castle nut and just before it grinds through, it should relieve enough stress in the nut to come loose without having to grind all the way thru

take off the 2 large axle nuts with a large cresent wrench and pull the brake drum off. Also remove the chain and left side chain cover. If the drum is stuck on after the nuts are off, pound the axle through the left side. Use a block of wood so you dont damage the threads when pounding.
