i just recently replaced the base gasket not even 5 mins of riding time and it blew the gasket again so now i know something is warped either the cylinder or base so to get this stuff shaved there is no easy way around it is there?

First off. What kind of gasket did you use? What did you torque the nuts to on the cylinder base? Stock compression? Fill us in here.

So you're at 70mm on bore. 160 for comp is nice for a rider. Base nuts should be tightened up pretty firmly. But........ yes, there's something wrong with the irregular surfaces. Machining bottom of cyl is one way to correct. But if it's cases that are hurt, you still have probs. I'd try as a last resort something i've had great success with, and what my Yamaha dealer uses exclusively when dealing with old beat up surfaces. Believe me, this stuff works great. It's called Permatex 'anaerobic' flange sealent. #51513 Clean both surfaces with scothbrite and coat NEW OEM base gasket on both sides and install as normal. You don't need tons of the anaerobic just enough to barely ooze out. Wipe off excess. It acts like a grease when wet. Go back over nuts after about 15-20 minutes. Let set overnight and you're ready to go. This is not RTV, or any sort of Yamabond type gasketmaker. This is the correct sealant for the job.

yeah you think it would work? even if warped? and maybe i should torque down as hard as i can with an open end wrench?

i wouldnt suggest that, aluminum case's like to crack if over tightened

I would contact corey sprock and get one of his base gaskets he had made up. They are a metal gasket with the foam like gasket material on both sides. When you install the new gasket verify both surfaces. When you tighten the nuts down crank them down tight. disregard torque spec. Crank em down.
