UPS just dropped this off about an hour ago :) This is a brand new JEMCO pipe built for the 310 bigbore :w00t: It will be awhile until it gets installed, got way too many other things going on right now. Prolly gonna go with the hi-temp black paint on it for now (I can always strip it off) to keep a stealthy look. Anyways, enjoy the pics :beer

Thats freakin awesome man, cant wait for a ride report!
Keep the coating in mind, from what I know once you run it you cant do certain things like chroming.

It was $275 shipped. $250 for the pipe and $25 shipping. Cool thing is he made a couple adjustments to it so it would be tuned for the 310, at the same price as the 250 pipe :D He said "The 250 pipe unmodified for a 310 will have a narrower power band". Yeah, Probably not gonna chrome it, might coat it in wd-40 and run it like that for awhile, can always paint it later. Don't want it so noticeable that it draws too much attention and has the R guys thinking twice about running against it :naughty: Gotta keep it kind of stealth :) Didn't somebody say JEMCO does silencers too? Wonder if that would be worth looking into...

Amazing pipe! 2 stroke handbuilt cone-pipes like that have a certain soul that I love. I know if you want to keep the bare "tiger-stripe" finish you can buy high temp. clear coat finish for it.

Send them a silencer and they'll make a jig from it. I think Monday I'll send my money to them, had some things come up and had to put my order on hold

Got a response about a silencer: "I don’t make a silencer, but if you can send me a stock silencer, I can make a fixture from it and produce one. It would cost $65.00 + $20.00 shipping. Keep me posted"
So what do you guys think? I think the price is pretty good, should I go for it? Think it'd be better than the good ole DG?

Thats a super good price, specially for a nice aftermarket custom made one. I'd sure jump on that if I were you guys.

That is simply a work of art and as long as my 85 Tecate pans out well I am going to order one and maybe up to 3 of them depending if other people I know with Tecates would like one. Maybe they'll offer a discount if we got several? I plan on going with the nickle plating.
Here is a response from Jemco from about a month ago. $370, ouch thats more than I paid for the bike. But if this thing turns out nice which it should, seems low houred, I think it's totally worth it and I plan on going for it and hopefully they can discount multiple purchases.
From Jemco:
Yes, I do build a system for the '85 KXT250 tecate. It sells for $275.00 +
$25.00 shipping. Nickel-plating is an additional $70.00. This pipe uses a
stock silencer. Delivery is 4 weeks after pre-payment by money order. Call
the shop at 713-461-3834 to discuss and place your order. Thanks,
Jon

I do not get why they are so affordable. A custom pipe is cheaper than off the shelf after market. How can that be?

Not having to pay for plating is a big factor in that I think.

I sent them a message asking asking about my 370. That would the the final peice.

i have a question, what will the pipe look like after you spray it down with wd40 after every ride? i like how it looks now

Clean, paint ASAP. I design 2 stroke pipes and that is one fat pipe. Being big like that ought a raise the top end. Sometimes it puts the band too high.Great for racing. Can I ask how long the stinger is and diameter?Thanxs Beets
