If you seriously want more performance, you should look into getting a more-performance oriented trike. You will have all new top end and lots of money tied up in a hardtial trike that is over 20 years old and has alot of time on the rest of the engine. You go hopping up those automatic trikes too much and the clutches start slipping and other real neat things. Seriously think about getting a 200x or something that has a manual clutch and suspension. There was a reason honda made 200x's and regular 200s.

Not really worth upping the performance on a trike like that, but simple things like taking off the air filter cover (we ran with them off all the time in winter, and it gives it a nice growl :D ), more air pressure in the tires and as mentioned a better air filter also a bigger/better performing carb can be found on e-bay, that would be about it. I wouldn't bother farting around with the engine on a standard 200. 200x maybe worth it though.

Yeah, if I were you I'd buy a 200X or 350X.

i would love to have a new trike, something like a 350x.

ive been looking for one all over and cannot find one.

If you want to drive to BC I'll sell you my 200X.
It's guaranteed to spank any equivalent sized trike you can find :D

lol, I know, I was just kidding.
I know what you mean about trikes being hard to find though.
I've only seen (3) 250R's and (1) 350X for sale in BC, in the last 3 years or so.

you could get a 250SX if you wanted. Theyre like the big reds but sportier and have kick start and they are also shaft drive and fully suspended.

250x's are also very hard to find.
i havent even seen a 350x in alberta.
and 250r's, i have seen 2 and they are selling for 3500.

if you really wanted to treat it like a performance trike you would atleast need rear suspension. You can put rear suspension on it and you could probably some how put 2 wheeler rear suspension on it but it would be alotta work.

I wonder if i can get a 200x frame and do it from there.?

You could install your engine in a 200x frame, if you could find one. Or you might be lucky and find and old 185s suspension frame and pick that up.

i put allot of work into my 200s motor. well one of them anyway. it had 10.25:1 bored 3mm over, performance cam, mild port job, 28mm carb, bassani exhaust, lighten flywheel, and different gearing. it was well worth the time and effort too. it was more reliable than any other motor ive ever owned. but now im running a 200s motor with 12:1, lighten flywheel, port job 28mm carb, bassani exhaust, tall cam, and different gearing. its not a good low end motor at all.

so anyway man do what you gotta. if you live in a area that has a lack of trike.... take your time and build it up. it cost me around 400.00 ish to build mine.

Will that fit into a 200s/185s? Looks pretty sweet.
