Another newb question- how do you clean the carb? What is involved basically?

Take it off and remove all the jets, hoses, fuel screw, float bowl drain screw, bowl gasket. I use brake parts cleaner to clean it, get 2 or 3 cans, they are a $1.98 at wallymart. If you have a air compressor, you can blow out all the passages and jets. I prefer to always buy a carb rebuild kit with all my new-to-me rides, reason is that if you get in there and need a couple of o-rings or gaskets, you have to take time out to order em, and then the price is that for the complete kit. If you spray the rubber parts in the carb with carb cleaner or brake parts cleaner they expand and are very hard to go back in there.
The only problem taking off the carb you might run into is the throttle cable. If the screws are stripped out on the side on the carb holding that plate over the throttle cable, it makes it tough on ya. When that happens, I usually leave the carb on the trike and pull it up above the frame and lay down a bunch of shop towels under it to have a clean place to work, and then take the carb apart there.

Yeah, i think i'll order the carb rebuild kit anyway, someone else told me i'd probably need it. I'll give you a yell Travis before i tear into it, maybe you can guide me through it!!!

Will do. If you don't have a place to work on it, you can bring it over and we'll work on it. I've got plenty of places to ride here from the house, you can try out my rides.

I have a place to work inside my garage, just need to get all my tools together, etc.
