Dammit!

I'm bored as hell so here's the deal. Go take some pics of what your trikes look like right now. As they sit. No cleaning them. No taking them out for poses. Just as they sit in the garage or shed or whatever.

Here's my R and my 350x. I haven't ridden them since Memorial Day at Rasor Road. The headlight is on the table in the background.

geez doug, you feeling ok? try the trick in the trike washing thread. looks like it works great.

thanks for letting me try the R out at Rasor. I had a lot of fun, your bike flat RUNS. but you already knew that. im already getting parts gathered for my 86 R to make it desert friendly. im hooked. just need to find time to put it together... I have way too many projects right now, but if it all goes well, i'll have something for the next trip to Rasor. i'll see if I can get some pics of the trikes as they sit. they haven't moved in about 2 years.

well here is a pic of 84 250r project. it's moving along, just waiting for some parts to show up and get my cylinder back from being bored. i hope to have it running for the first time this weekend. just put tank stickers on today.

i need to do something with the rear mud "flaps" i have to say that i don't like them at all. but the person i bought the wheeler from drilled a bunch of holes into the rear of it to mount some kind of "brace" for the rear. looks very stupid. so i may be doing some "trimming" we shall see.

my goal was to get it running by august 1st, but it's going to be longer than that. i will be waiting for the chain guide from australia come monday. it should take like 2 to 3 weeks to get it. as you can see i am still in the working phase of it all. benches are full of parts and tools. gotta love it!!!!!!!!!

i have to say thanks to 1 upfront for being patient with me and answering all my questions, 1 upfornt you the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

oh well. it's going to get finished though!!!!!!!! i will be sure and post some finished pics.

Sadly I have 4 trikes (well 2 rollers and 2 frames) and a CT70 and I can't ride any of them.

Here's the two rollers with the engine from the 125m on the bench getting worked on

Here's the 85 350X i just scooped up. I had to hide it for the weekend while i'm in Fl so no one would be tempted to mess with it. I'll get some pics of the rest, the 86 200X is covered in mud and a lot of fun, the 86 350X is running great and has been ridden a lot, and the R only has one outing that ended in the back of the pickup due to some wheel spacer issues. But everything i own needs to be cleaned and then ridden some more. The 86 350X and the R need to be tuned because they are about 1500' higher than they were in Fl and a good going over and some new jetting would most likely help out a lot...

Here's the current state of the 350x. Catching up on some much needed repairs and since I couldn't make the Pensyltucky ride, I'm trying to get some more stuff done on it. I'm just spray paint touching it up since it's a rider and not a showboat. Finally taking the time to put on my take-off parts and straighten out some long time avoided problems. Stock length dura blue axle, courtesy of a board member and alot of take off parts and new supertrapp and used DG hard chrome header and nos rear brake reservoir and used rear m/cyl and lots of rubber parts which needed replaced badly. I will be replacing the clutch side cover, clutches, and clutch and decomp cable next and need to get the new wheels and tires installed along with the durablue hubs.

I started taking pics last night but the camera went dead!!! But here are all the bikes I have left. The zinger needs a few more small details and a nice front fender. The atc70 justs needs to be cleaned up and tuned up.350x and Big Red need nothing. The Tri-Z will be started sooner or later. The 85 250r just needs the new frame, swinger, and exhaust swapped over. And the 81 250r I have lots of cool parts for that one.The atc110 is a great bike to bomb around on.And the moto-4 80 is just waitng for my dausgther to be old enough to ride it.

here is how they sit right now. All moved around due to brake job for the bronco. The 200s just had topend rebuilt. pic2. The 110 big trash cans is just sitting there for the moment untill I get to move and clean them al up again. Oh and by the way I did not paint the 110 tank gold. That was a PO custom mod. I paid I think $75 for it. And yes it runs good :)

OK, here goes- The 85 is apart right now for a radiator swap, pipe swap and clutch cable. The 500 is almost done, just got my jug back last week. The Zinger just needs a choke cable. It's usually not such a mess, I got interupted working on the 85 and had to pitch everything back in the shed without putting anyting away.

My first bike that my daughter now uses to put put around my acreage. It runs flawlessly but could use new plastic and seat, aside from that it's mint. I just can't kill this thing!!! 1980 110 but I updated the engine to a 83. Completely rebuilt about 2 years ago.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y137/taiser/ATC/_MAM2621.jpg

Current project, working on it for two years off and on. 86 250r. Should be ready to fire up in about two weeks :w00t:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y137/taiser/ATC/_MAM2622.jpg

Rest of the 250r parts laying around. Waiting for some new swingarm needle bearings then I can get this thing off the table!!

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y137/taiser/ATC/_MAM2623.jpg

Close up of the brand new motor. Never been opened or ran. Sat on a dealers shelf since new. Wasn't cheap but some things are worth not taking a chance...got a brand new carb coming too!

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y137/taiser/ATC/_MAM2624.jpg

Once I know she's up and running good, I'm striping her down again and doing the powder coat thing. Want to make sure I could put this beee-atch together from scratch before chancing screwing something up on freshly painted/finished/chromed parts!!!! :D

Here's my other 86 tri-z and 85 Tecate. The tri-z has been at a total standstill for nearly a year and am waiting for some key parts. The Tecate is actually real close, but still need a few things. The tri-z has a very fresh never been fired engine with a new crank, backcut 6speed by MRE, and some other goodys. This will some day be a fast bike. The Tecate is all stock mechanically and will be a rider, but fresh from crank up. I'm building this bike from all of the extra parts i've collected from my other Tecate. So, the current state of these bikes is them taking up attic space in my garage.

Actually, alot better then you would think!! The front is very (obviously) light, so you gotta be a bit careful of that - but overall, it rides much better then I had thought it would.

The worst looking machine of the bunch is actually the best running trike ever....my 86 250sx. Garbage bag seat cover, square plastic chunks for fenders, bent front end...it is indestructable. I bought it in pieces for a hundred bucks well over 3 years ago. $10 for new bearings in the rear end and it has been running like a top ever since. It is a hell of a workhorse...It burns no oil and never fails to start. what a testament to the build quality of the mid 80's hondas it is when you can take a 3 wheeler that has been sitting beaten to death in a field for years and put a few simple parts on it and have it perform perfectly...I bet I have put 100 hours on the thing since it was reassembled. it is tough

I got the same deal, only mine was free, and i replaced the bent forks after axle broke in half >.<. now it has XL250s forks a welded together axle and sealed off choke. I haul manure with mine it is such a beast, just wont die, except when my rusty tank clogs petcock, lines, or fuel filter:mad: . I can't believe how well that thing does in the mud, i ride with 2 guys with 500cc sportsmans and i keep up ok. I'll get some pics maybe 2morro, looks kinda unique with its long forks.

Damn dude. The inside of your R is even cleaner than the outside. :lol:Thanks, that's because I only put about 3 hours on the engine after a complete rebuild, when I noticed I was sucking gear lube into the combustion chamber. I nursed it back to camp, shut it down, and then parked it in the garage for several months because I wasn't motivated to tear it apart.

I have to admit. Red Riders bike is one of my favorites! From the inverts, to the color choice, late model swingarm, and of course the HPP. It all looks soooo nice. I remember the thread a long time ago about making the HPP work. This is in my opinion what Honda would have done in a few years. It all makes perfect sense. Great work!

I usually get 6-7. I have gotten up to 9mpg and thats when I picked up my Harley and I had the speedo burried for a few hours straight, go figure. I've been down in the 5mpg range though. Gotta run 93 octane also.
I built the engine about 2 years ago. Zero decked and bored the block. Ported C9VE heads with springs and hardened seats, 10 to 1 pistons, roller rockers, Edelbrock air gap intake, 750 cfm demon carb. L&L long tube headers, .545 lift cam with 220 & 228 duration at .050, Dual 3 inch exhaust with Dynomax race magnums. I think thats about it. It totally rips.

Honda cleaner on the plastics, and GREAT care not to swirl mark it, WD40 on the engine with a wipe down. Polishing the aluminium SUCKS, thats why it has been sitting for 2 years and it stays covered up. It pretty much just stays clean under cover. And I have a confession,, the tank and all plactics were bought new about 10 years ago, and they have only been on a few glory rides up and down the road, NEVER offroad, when I used to ride it hard many years ago I would swap out tank and all with the other bike. Its cheating a little. I consider it Mechanical Artwork. God knows I'll never get my money back.

WOW, I bet its fun to drive. I wanted to go with a 460 so bad but I just ran out of money, so I just went with the stock rebiuld and a cam. The best thing I did was go with 456 gears, that helped alot

Hey Dammit can you expain how you clean your bikes? They look great. What is wisked and what do you WD40?

Somebody on here figured out the Wisk thing. You take concentrated Wisk laundry detergent, fill up a spray bottle about 25% with that stuff and the rest water. Spray the entire bike until it's soaked then hose it off or pressure wash it (I don't have a pressure washer personally). It really works pretty well. After that and depending on what time it is, I'll get the leaf blower out to dry it (takes like 1 minute to dry the entire trike that way). After it's dry I spray everything made of metal with WD40 and everything rubber or plastic with Armor All. That makes everything shiny but the bigger reason I do it is to prevent rust and dry rot. I touch up the aluminum with mothers polish but only occasionally.

Here is how they fit behind the Tacoma. The 4-Runner backs in where I am standing taking the picture.
The 70 has been out in the shed all summer; but I think it was lonely so I stuffed it back in beside the 350 today.

OK, I guess it's time for me to finally jump in on this one. I'll bet mine will be the most offensive, so I apologize in advance. Please don't hate or flame.

That IS my trike motor in there...

This is the only trike I've ever had. I have 3 quads and most of the time I'd rather jump on the Big Red than get on the quads.

Here's how my trikes look right now.

Had everything out and on the track last weekend 4 trikes and 1 quad (in TT spec), then everything washed and waiting for the next show( for the trailer queens), or a field to become available for some messing around (for the riders).:w00t:
