Just a few thing to check. are you over tightening it? Are the sprockets aligned properly? Are all the sprockets and chain the right size?

they may be out of alignment, but could it be from running a newer front than rear sprocket?

yeah it only lasted 2 good months of riding were the old one lasted almost 5 years. And i think The Honda dealer just brings in the cheapest chain only 25 $ so i guess ya get what ya pay for.

Buy an O-Ring chain. Replace both sprockets at the same time. Check the alignment. Keep the tension at spec (usually 1/4"). Recheck the tension every few hours when chain is new as it will stretch. That should keep it good for a while! :D
