350x cobra exhaust

i've heard some bad things about them but i also red on here one time that some guy had a coba on hi 350x, at first it sounded bad but then he got a spark arrestor for it and then it sounded good, what do you guys think since i've seen that many 35Xs on here with them on.

i have a cobra system on one of my x's. it gives a good overall boost in power but yes, it is loud. i've never seen one with the optional sparky so can't comment. i haven't added the sparky for fear of blocking the airflow i added by adding the cobra. if ya live and/or ride where there's not too many others to p-off and you can deal with a loud pipe, it's a pretty good deal for the money. if ya want quiet though fork out the extra cash for another.

I have a cobra on my x also, it's loud but not louder than my buddies raptor with his scorpion pipe.

I never cared for any of the generic OEM replacements. They do give a slight boost in performance, but at the cost of quite a few decibles.

As far as I know, the only 350x specific exhaust available nowadays are those already mentioned. If I were a 350x rider in the market for a new exhaust, I would adapt a 400ex silencer on there and make my own header pipe.

no i don't have the sparky on mine for a couple reasons. one, the cobra lets the x breath better and i fear adding the sparky would restrict some of the flow hence making it a waste to deal with the noise. also, it's like $70 freakin dollars which is about half of what the whole system costs and funds have been too tight lately. once i have an extra $70 layin around, i'll probably pick up the sparky and see how well it works with sounds and retaining the little extra boost i got from the x.

yeah i have a spark arrestor in mine, don't know if it is that much of a difference I have never ran it without it. Just ran a stock 2001 400 ex this weekend that belongs to my cousin and it was close but the x got him. I think he was pissed but I don't know for sure, the motors are probably pushing the same horese but the x must just have it by weight. My motor is bored .40 over and I am only running the pipe and k&n filter.

Find yourself a Supertrapp pipe you will amazed by the sound and performance of it it out does cobra my friend bought a cobra to replace his supertrapp rode for 2 mins and took a sledge hammer to that pile of a cobra pipe.
