I was looking through a 1982 Dirtwheels magazine last night and the magazine was racing a yt175 trike, that was quoted as a "project trike". Does anyone have the article or articles of the buildup of the yt175 "project trike"? If you do and could post them, I would appreciate it, thanks.

I believe there were 3 or 4 articles in the dirtwheels magazines that covered "project 175" Isn't there someone that can help dig these up and hopefully print them on here or send copies? I can pay for your services and shipping if you would prefer.

Scott, that would be great if you could find them. My dirtwheels don't go that far back.

Here's a short list of good reading....

Yamaha's Hot New Tri-Moto 175 - pg 25 August 1981 3Wheeling
Bolt on Rear Suspension for Yamaha Tri-Moto pg 33 April 1982 3Wheeling.
Rear Suspension for Tri Moto Pg27 (Pro-Tec) Feb 1982 DW
Project Tri-Moto Part 1 Pg 26 Feb 1982 DW
Project Tri-Moto Part 2 Pg 44 April 1982 Dirt Wheels
Test ride and race report was to follow.... Probably June 1982, as I think it was still a bi-monthly then....

350x'inNY, Do you have these articles? Can you post them or would you take money to copy them and send me the copies please? I have the one on the Pro Tec rear suspension and I have the one one the race report, but I do not have the others. The race report article mentions the articles of "project 175" but, I don't have those magazines. I wouldn't mind seeing if they have any neat old tips and tricks. In the race report the magazine said the 175 was pretty responsive, but it lacked decent gearing because there weren't any sprockets that had the teeth they wanted at the time. Crazy eh? I've got a couple different aftermarket front ends that might replace the standard 175 front end too.

Yep... I got those mags here. I'll see what I can do to scan them or copy for you.

Has there been any progress on finding those articles? I'm still looking for some info. Any help for scans would be appreciated.
