86R Sprocket hub question

Is the sprocket hub supposed to have a spacer on it or is this part of a left over axle bearing? I know the disc hub has a spacer that fits into the seal but not sure about the sprocket hub. I bought a 86R in pieces and I'm trying to get it back together. Thanks

DON'T CUT THAT OFF. That IS the the seal surface for the inside of the left hand bearing seals.

I Used to make them spacers out of 316-L Stainless , i guess i can make a few more
