View Full Version : 200e questions...ONCE AGAIN!!!! shesh!!

Alright! got my new carb on, battery, gas tank, then go to use the electric start, nothing happens.. checked lines, looked good, what could it be???? im not the best mechanic at diagnosing, just a fixer..lol.. anyone have any ideas??:wondering

i would guess its the selenoid. Take a voltmeter to it and see if current is passing through when you depress the starter button.

Check to see if there is a main fuse someplace. I just put back together my SX and when I went to start it there was nothing. Checked the fuse and it was bad, replace the fuse and it started right up.

Fuses looked fine guys, if the Selinoid just clicks is it bad?? Cuz that's all it does..

yah, pull off the starter and open it up. You most likely have some corrosion on the brushes.

before you do that - try to jump the trike with jumper cables. Positive to the stud on the starter motor - neg to a ground any where on the machine. If it turns over - check the solenoid. If nothing - get your starter rebuilt.

Ok, yea it's the selinoid, starter cranked fine! guess im headed to autozone to get another selinoid, appreciate the help fellas!

WELP!! still couldnt get it to fire, the previous owner said the timing may be off, so im takin it to a local atv shop to have them diagnose this thing, since i would be clueless tryin to figure out the timing.. I'll let yuns know what happens

If its not clicking or nothing i found the problem was actualy simple it was just the little contact inside the switch was dirty cleaned it with a brass wire brush and it started just fine it was also a 200e and the switch is real easy to clean to
