Hey i was wondering if it is possible to wire a standard analog tachometer to my ATC 185s (no battery). The tach has four wires: white (12v dash lighting), Red (switched +12v), Black (ground 12v battery) and Green (Signal). The tach says that it can be connected to a standard ignition coil. Is that what i have?? Where is the negative side of the ignition coil? (picture?) The tach also has a switch for 4, 6 and 8 cylinders. As for the black cable, were do i connect that? in the diagram it shows it going to the 12v battery and ground. As for the red wire, what is switched +12 and where is it/do i need it? And lastly, the white wire, 12v dash lighting, I'm guessing that is not important but probably the same place as black wire?

As for what i for i have read on the internet, people have done this before, i am not very skilled with this kind of stuff but am sure i could figure it out if someone where to thoroughly explain how to do this or what i need to do this.

If anybody knows how to do this then any input would be very greatly appreciated.

Connor
