200 m at higher speeds rpms it tends to start to sputter a bit or just shut off completley, change the spark plug and it fires up usually. yesterday it did it again after only a five minute ride. so i changed the plug wouldn;t start pulled it out checked the spark.. was sparking. dipped the pulg in some gas then threaded it in and it fired..
any ideas? please help

id check ignition timing last....
go through and rebuild the carb, if the motor/trike is stock, which it probably is, make sure the stock jets are in the carb.
If you rebuild the carb and still have problems, make sure all wiring connections are tight.

i rebuilt the carb already with all stock parts other the i bumped the main up cause it was running lean top end by the condition of the plug, it now has a 105 instead of the 95. still seems to be lean. it seems to be dry fouling the plug

If it's dying only at high rpm, I don't think ignition is your problem. Are you sure you're just not running out of gas in the float bowl? I'd be checking fuel lines and, if you have one, the inline fuel filter. Even the float level. It sounds more like you're just running out of gas.

thats what I am thinking as well... I would also check the gas cap for a plugged vent

ok so tonight i pulled the tank, set it on the bench and checked the flow of gas, started out well then slowly it would slow down shake the tank a bit and it would help a lil but eventually it would almost stop.. took the cap off and it flowed properly again.. so switched the cap, rode it runs decent doesn't seem to dry foul now...
the only situ is the plug is still showing its a little lean on the ground strap. the bottom of the thread area is dark. so maybe i should jump up to a 107.5 / 110 main??
